Social Media Intern Description
West Coast Publishing
Unpaid (possible for pay after initial period) 10 hours per week
West Coast Publishing is seeking a college intern (junior or senior) to help in our marketing department. Duties would include the following:
* Social media posting/scheduling
* Monitoring of social media
* Data collection
* Contact updates
* Helping to run contests, pools and sweepstakes on social media channels (Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter and Instagram)
This intern would be working directly with the Director of Marketing and Director of Public
Relations.
Qualifications/requirements include:
* Current or recently graduated college student
* Major in marketing, journalism, digital media, web design or communications
* Extremely competent and knowledgeable in social media (including analytics, content marketing and strategy)
* Eager to learn and apply themselves
* Able to work during business hours (8-5pm)
* Passionate about military and veteran affairs
* Extremely comfortable talking on the phone
* Appropriate social media etiquette
* Stellar writing skills
* Team-oriented attitude
* Full of awesome ideas!
Other qualifications that are not required, but preferred:
* Experience working with social media in business
* Photo and video skills (especially editing of these mediums)
* Able to prove stable presence on personal social media
This internship can be used for college credit.
