Yakima Valley School is seeking a strong, fiscally sound Financial Services Manager to join our management team.

Your role
Yakima Valley School (YVS), located in Selah, provides care for 108 residents in 15 separate homes on campus.  Your role as the Financial Services Manager will be to ensure continued service within budget to the program and supporting the Department's mission of improving the health and safety of individuals, families and communities.  The core hours for the Financial Services Manager are 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday.
 
 
 
DUTIES:
As the Financial Services Manager you will be responsible to provide professional consultation and oversight related to financial services management and other assigned areas of responsibility.  You will provide direction, manage and administer all the financial service programs for the facility including:
  • Allotment control
  • Contract and resource management and administration
  • Facilities planning
  • Equipment management and procurement
  • Prepare periodic reports for local and regional status update and forecast
You will direct and manage the YVS financial team and fiscal system for the facility, which includes timekeeping, payroll, and general services for the Field Services South and the Yakima State Operated Living Alternative (SOLA) program.

Your success will be measured by developing appropriate strategies to maintain operations within the budget allotment and stay in compliance with the fiscal systems, policies, and guidelines of the agency.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate will have:
Five (5) years of professional work experience, of which at least three years were in a managerial or supervisory capacity and a Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or closely related field.

We will substitute one year of the required management experience with a Master's degree.
