NOW HIRING. Full Time Noxious Weed Control Coordinator
WSU Jefferson County Extension seeks a Noxious Weed Control Coordinator to work out of our office in Port Townsend. Implements Jefferson County’s Noxious Weed Control Program. Develops, implements education and information programs that prevent, suppress, and remove noxious weeds; safeguarding human health and environment. Involve and educate citizens in noxious weed control. Understands legal authority and requirements of the program. Coordinates activities of Weed Board staff, volunteers, contractors with county, state, federal, private agencies and entities to conduct the program. Performs duties in office and field settings. Staffs Jefferson County Noxious Weed Control Board; implements the Board’s policies and programs. Supervision by Jefferson County Noxious Control Board and WSU Jefferson County Extension Director. Work week: Monday-Friday at 40 hrs. per week.
Temporary contract position through December 31, 2015 which may be extended. Salary: $20-$25 per hour; includes benefits.
