The Office of the Insurance Commissioner (OIC) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of IT System/App Specialist 6 (DBA/.NET Developer) – In Training Opportunity in our Operations Division, located in Tumwater, Washington. This position is being reposted to provide an in-training opportunity, if applicable.
If the incumbent does not meet the full qualifications and experience of the ITAS6 level, this position may be filled at the Information Technology Specialist 5 in-training to an ITSA6 position. If filled as an in-training, the incumbent will be required to successfully complete all elements of the 18-moth in-training plan. Upon successful completion of the in-training plan the incumbent will be promoted to an ITAS6.
This position is the agency designated expert professional for database architecture, database development and database maintenance.
Duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Provide leadership and oversee high risk, mission critical systems and projects, including new software/system development, maintenance, support, and enhancement of existing software/systems, and leading efforts to integrate new technologies; and
· Plan, analyze, design, architect, prototype, develop, test, enhance and maintain the agency’s complex, mission critical, high-risk computer systems;
