Historic 1625 Tacoma Place – Venue Staff Assistant Position

Job Summary and Responsibilities: Historic 1625 is looking for an energetic, responsible, resourceful and engaging person to assist in the operation of one of Tacoma's premier event venues.

Responsibilities will include overseeing elegant and exciting events, assisting with social media management, communicating with vendors and clients, assisting with set up/take down of events, and creating a helpful and inviting environment for all events at the venue while ensuring that the venue policies and procedures are followed.

Compensation will range between $12 and $15 per hour depending on experience. Hours will range between 12-20 hours per week through the spring with the potential for up to 35- 40 hours per week during the summer wedding season. This position has the potential to be either a seasonal or permanent position depending upon the experience and interest of the candidate.

Minimum Qualifications:
* High school diploma or GED
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Must be at least 18 years of age

Desired Qualifications:
* Previous experience in catering
* Previous experience in event planning or venue management
* Previous experience in customer service
* Previous experience in social media management
