Paid student opportunities at WSU Puyallup Research Center

Job title: Website developer and event coordinator
Description: We need someone to help us develop our web presence. We are transitioning to a new web platform and need to rebuild several websites. We also host workshops and other events for growers, regulatory agencies, and others with an interest in our plant pathology programs. These include Sudden Oak Death, diseases of bulb and flower crops, Christmas trees, and Pacific madrone research. You can view our existing website here: https://stage.ppo.puyallup.wsu.edu/
Skills needed: Experience with website development and programming languages, social media such as facebook, twitter, and youtube, and be comfortable dealing with people.
Duties: Transfer websites into Wordpress format, update websites and blog posts, develop social media for programs, create surveys and educational videos for use on websites. Other duties may involve handling the logistics of educational events such as workshops and conferences. These will include planning, publicity, registration, purchasing, and dealing with computer equipment for presentations.
Hours: part time, flexible
