Position Title: Accounting Support  Reports To: Accounting Support Leader
Department: Home Office Status: Non-Exempt

Position Overview:
The Accounting Support position handles a wide scope of work including Payroll, Accounts Payable, some Human Resource functions and General Ledger responsibly. Responsibilities include assisting in the timely and accurate processing of bi-weekly payroll for numerous states and basic benefit administration functions with excellent Team Member support. Additionally, this position is responsible for full reconciliation, audit and review of all general ledger accounts at each end of period.

Summary of Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
* Enter, verify and process payroll bi-weekly
* Accurately answer garnishments and child support orders
* Assist with payroll questions including compliance issues
* Maintain proper electronic files as required by Home Office including assisting locations in compliance with missing documentation
* Maintain payroll deductions
* Process separation payouts as required by state law
* Maintain and process benefit paperwork for new hires (health, dental, 401K, Wellness program)
* Maintain payroll and human resource database with accuracy
* Complete the filing of hours and earnings questionnaires and employment verification forms received
* Fully reconcile assigned general ledger accounts and review entire general ledger account listing for assigned locations at end of each period
* End of period accrual generation and entry
* Review, verify, audit and enter Accounts Payable invoices received
* Create and/or streamline internal processes
* Review, compile and file monthly sales and use tax according to state compliance requirements
* Assist Accounting Support Leader with projects
* Lead new store payroll set up
* Maintain all electronic filing and a clean work area
* Other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
* 3-5 years of experience in Accounting – Payroll, Accounts Payable and extensive General Ledger preferred OR degree
* Great attention to detail
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Outgoing and helpful attitude
* Multi-task oriented

Performance Indicators:
* Accuracy of data entry and maintenance of all payroll electronic files
* Ability to meet timelines consistently under pressure
* Overall attitude and ability to work as a team to accomplish our goals
