Are you a UW student and/or a Tacoma resident? Are willing to assist with a citizen science project exploring community preparedness for earthquake and fire? If you answered yes, please attend this Earthquake preparedness workshop. This workshop will be approximately 2 hours held in Pinkterton 131 on Thursday at 2pm. We'll be including a participatory data collection activity across campus during the workshop, so bring appropriate clothing to be outside for up to 45 minutes.
Participants will also be asked to attend a follow-up session organised in about 3-4 weeks at a time convenient to all those attending. Between sessions, participants may also be asked to use mobile apps and social media to engage with each other and our project team.
If you have a smartphone (particularly Android), please bring it along.
