Residential Care Services Division is looking for someone who is innovative, culturally competent with leadership skills to fill a temporary Regulatory Quality Assurance Nurse Program Manager position in Lacey, WA. The expected start date of this position is June 1, 2015 and is expected to last up to 12 months.

DUTIES:
Our Regulatory Quality Assurance Nurse Program Manager is federally mandated to assure that RCS nursing home staffs, including complaint investigators, comply consistently with existing and new regulatory and program processes and requirements. You will serve as the primary technical quality control expert for the implementation of consistent inspection, survey, and complaint investigation practices. You will have statewide responsibility for planning, managing and supervising complex accountability, oversight initiatives and methods of internal review related to identifying quality improvement projects for RCS.
As the Regulatory Quality Assurance Nurse Program Manager you will develop projects and initiatives to improve field staff consistency and proficiency in survey activities. You will coordinate closely with the RCS management team and other RCS staff including, the field, arid other review, oversight and accountability staff. Using specialized knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience the position provides consultation and coordination of quality management strategies, training resources, and project outcomes/information with internal and external customers.
Our Regulatory Quality Assurance Nurse Program Manager reports directly to the Regulatory QA Nurse Supervisor. Although you do not have any supervisory or budgetary authority, you are a key position that is responsible for preparing new staff to become successful nursing home surveyors. You are also required to provide ongoing support related to changes, updates and to ensure consistent statewide application and implementation of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) policies and procedures related to survey and certification.

We’d like someone with a solid background in professionalism, leadership, interpersonal skills, communication and recognizes that the longterm care resident/client is the primary customer of this organization and promotes, builds and improves processes focused on improving resident/client satisfaction with the services offered by the programs licensed and/or certified by the organization.
The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in nursing and a minimum of two years’ experience in the field of longterm care services for vulnerable adults but will consider a Bachelor’s degree in nursing and a minimum of five years’ experience in the field of longterm care services for vulnerable adults. The work experience required is work done after obtaining the degree. SMQT and QIS certified are preferred.
