GIS TECHNICIAN/ASSISTANT PLANNER POSITION – ENTRY LEVEL (Federal Way)

We are currently seeking an entry-level GIS Technician/Assistant Planner to join our team in Federal Way.
The ideal candidate will:
* Have 1-2 years experience in GIS mapping and Land Use Planning/Permitting.
* Have a bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Urban Studies, Geography or related field and a GIS certification or equivalent experience.
* Provide ESRI GIS 10 mapping support as necessary for land acquisition, conceptual design, and feasibility analysis.
* Provide AutoCAD assistance to the planning team to include exporting GIS data into AutoCAD for design and basic design/revision capabilities.
* Research codes, design standards, and regulations in relation to development projects.
* Communicate confidently both verbally and in writing with peers and clients.
* Perform site visits and minor construction related tasks.
* Possess a valid Washington State Driver’s License to facilitate in submittal of deliverables.
* Be highly organized, self-motivated, and a quick learner.
