Internship in U.S Senator's Office

An Internship in U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell’s Seattle office offers individuals an opportunity to serve the public through the federal government.  The goal of this Internship is to develop professionalism in a fast-paced work environment and give the Intern an inside view of how a congressional state office operates. Interns will have the chance to work on projects involving but not limited to press and communications as well as outreach with a wide variety of regional stakeholders. Responsibilities include fielding constituent requests, communicating with federal government agencies, administrative processing within the office, and customized research projects. Interns will work alongside outreach staff and have the opportunity to learn firsthand about the constituent advocacy process and assist Washington State residents in navigating federal agency processes through casework. Internships are available throughout the year, and are typically structured around the college quarter system. Recent graduates are also encouraged to apply.
