Webmaster/Content Management Internship
The Association for Women in Computing is looking for a Webmaster/Content Management Intern to revamp our outdated website at http://awcps.org.  If you are looking for an opportunity to add published work to your portfolio, gain practical experience redesigning a data-driven web site, and acquire valuable work experience with an established non-profit organization, this would be the perfect internship for you.

The Association for Women in Computing (AWC) is a national, nonprofit, professional organization for women and men with an interest in information technology. We promote awareness on issues affecting women in the computing industry, further the professional development and advancement of women in computing, and encourage women to enter computing as a career.

Required skills:
  • WordPress development experience (including PHP, HTML 5, and CSS 3) 
  • Outstanding web design and branding skills
  • Strong web content management skills
  • Good understanding of MySQL databases (both in WordPress and as a standalone)
  • Solid analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent time management skills as well as the ability to thrive in a self-directed environment

Term:  3 months, 10-15 hours a week

Compensation:  This is a non-paid position
