DESCRIPTION:
Do you enjoy pulling all the pieces together? Reporting to the Project Director, you will provide a wide range of administrative support to facilitate the successful completion of project deliverables associated with a multi-year, multi-million dollar enterprise project.
Each year the Department of Revenue (DOR) collects tax payments of over $19 billion, processes over 515,000 business license applications and renewals, and conducts millions of online transactions. The Department currently depends on legacy systems for its mission-critical tax and business licensing processes. Over the next three years, DOR is entering a $70 million project – the Tax and Licensing Systems Replacement (TLSR) – to implement a new Commercial Off–the-Shelf (COTS) solution to replace DOR’s aging computer systems.
**This is a project position with an anticipated duration of three years.**

You’ll be challenged to:
· Provide administrative and logistical support for a wide variety of time-driven activities related to the TLSR project deliverables and the success of the project.
· Communicate on behalf of the Project Director regarding project resources, meetings, and project communications.
· Manage and track detailed budget information to manage contractor invoices.
· Manage project resources and workflow.
· Coordinate calendars, rooms, and other logistics associated with project deliverables.
· Prepare and maintain complex reports and business correspondence.
· Coordinate and process personnel actions.
Successful applicants will possess:
· Four years of progressive experience in office/clerical, secretarial, bookkeeping, accounting, or general administrative work. Formal education will substitute year for year for experience.
· Proficiency in the use of MS Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, Project, SharePoint)
· Skills to effectively organize multiple assignments, often involving competing priorities, and to produce work products that are accurate, thorough, and on time.
· Demonstrated ability to write and communicate effectively, including proofreading.
· Skills to work in a fast-paced, stressful environment that is schedule-driven.
Preferred applicants will possess:
· Experience working in a Washington State agency, ideally with the Department of Revenue.
· Experience as an Administrative Assistant.
· The ability to anticipate upcoming needs and proactively work to develop strategies and
solutions.
