Duties and Responsibilities:
Students will assist in setting up for and cleaning up after lab classes, cleaning glassware,
preparing laboratory solutions and materials, helping to maintain living specimens, cleaning and storing field equipment, and helping to monitor equipment use and availability.
Students will also work to complete daily assigned tasks to keep the science building clean, stocked, and organized. This position may include field trip participation, lab and demo practice runs, assisting with sample collection and chemical analyses, helping with equipment inventory and maintenance and computer data entry.

Minimum Qualifications:
Good people skills. Ability to work alone or with a team. Ability to follow directions and communicate effectively, both in writing and orally. Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills. Some previous biology or chemistry class laboratory experience is necessary. Computer literacy, especially MS Office package is a plus.
