DESCRIPTION:

The Attorney General's Office (AGO) serves more than 230 state agencies, boards, commissions, colleges and universities, as well as the Legislature and the Governor. The mission of the Office is to deliver the highest quality professional legal services to officials, agencies, and citizens of the state of Washington. The Office is comprised of over 500 attorneys and 700 professional staff.
The General Services Division of the Attorney General’s Office is recruiting for a non-permanent Office Assistant 3 position, located in downtown Seattle. This position is expected to run through November 30, 2015.
The General Services Division in Seattle provides support to a variety of divisions in the Seattle Office. Services include providing reception services for phones and visitors, processing, delivering and screening mail, scheduling and maintaining conference rooms and state vehicles, performing clerical duties and assisting with audio/visual equipment requests.

DUTIES:
The successful candidate will contribute and support the AGO's mission by providing multifaceted support and quality customer service in a timely, responsive, and courteous manner for the Seattle Office. It is expected that they will independently perform complex clerical functions to support multiple divisions by utilizing basic office equipment to complete projects; drafting correspondence; stamping, logging and distributing mail; performing searches and data entry into the AGO tracking system; meeting and greeting visitors; and fielding telephone calls using a multi-line telephone

QUALIFICATIONS:
High School graduation or equivalent plus two years clerical experience.
Applicants for Office Assistant positions with the Attorney General’s Office are required to take a skills assessment prior to being appointed to a position with the agency.
