POSITION: Employment Consultant Full-time position
BRIEF
DESCRIPTION: You would assist people with intellectual disabilities get jobs. This is accomplished through a combination of networking with businesses, conducting outside sales and educating employers about the advantages of workforce diversity. Once you convince a business to hire a candidate referred by Vadis, you go onto the job site to support the business and their new employee. You remain on the job site as long as needed and then make periodic check-in visits to provide consultation to assure job retention and career growth. In an effort to expand, this well established company is looking for a professional, energetic self-starter who will thrive on convincing businesses to consider the benefits of hiring people with disabilities in Pierce County. SALARY: $1,900 to $2,200/per month to start

QUALIFICATIONS: Interest in Networking and Outside Sales Excellent oral and written communication Valid Washington State Driver’s License Proof of liability insurance Must be 18 years of age Documentation of favorable driving record Reliable transportation Able to pass extensive criminal background checks First Aid and CPR certification Be a team player Able to work well independently and be self-directed
