State Department of Ecology (Union Gap, WA)

The Regional Director, Central Region position represents the Director of Ecology, working hard to create unique solutions that balance a prosperous economy with healthy and safe communities and a clean environment, and is highly visible in Douglas, Okanogan, Chelan, Kittitas, Yakima, Benton and Klickitat counties.

This position plays a significant role within the agency’s senior executive leadership team and plays a critical coordination role in agency priority projects like the Yakima Basin Integrated Plan, Lower Yakima Valley Groundwater Management Area on Nitrates, and Kinross's Buckhorn Mountain Gold Mine.  Our Central Regional Director is at the center of water availability and water quality issues and plays a critical role in the current planning for relieving drought hardships across the region and state.
