Contractor Quality Control - Quality Control Manager

We are seeking qualified applicants for a Contractor Quality Control position on Federal projects at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. Position is full time as a project CQC, including responsibility for managing and overseeing all aspects of Quality Control for the contractor.


On Site Quality Control Manager will perform the following duties: conduct weekly QC meetings, perform the three phases of control except for those phases of control designated to be performed by QC specialists, perform submittal review and approval, ensure testing is performed and provide QC certifications and documentation required in the Contract. CQC may be required to use QCS program as part of job responsibility.


Applicants must have the following requirements:
- Must be able to secure access to Federal Installations, including background checks
- Must either be a graduate engineer, graduate architect, or a graduate of construction management with a minimum of 5 years construction experience or have a minimum of 10 years in related construction work
- Army Corps of Engineers Certification for Construction Quality Management for Contractors
- Experience generating reports
- Experience creating quality assurance procedures


Additional experience or credentials with specialty qualifications in civil, mechanical, environmental
or structural engineering are desired, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities include:
- Implement and oversee quality assurance and project plan for the job sites in the Region
- Prepare quality audits checklists and conducts the project audits
- Follow up with Management team regarding actions from audits
- Make recommendations to Project Management team regarding deficiencies
- Identify and report conditions that require immediate action
- Make sure QA plan meets and exceeds the most current regulatory requirements
- Establish and maintain effective communications with the Owner's safety personnel
