Management Analyst 2 – Health Services Finance
Headquarters, Tumwater WA
This recruitment is open to current, permanent, Department of Correction employees only.
The Department of Corrections (DOC) is seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual for a
Management Analyst 2 (MA2), in the Finance Unit, within the Health Services Division. This position is
located at our Headquarters location in Tumwater, Washington.

DUTIES:
This position supports the Health Services Finance data warehouse team by providing upper level management with information requested to make informed decisions.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Maintain and verify monthly/quarterly health care reports;
Independently plan, develop, organize, and conduct complex analysis of financial and statistical data;
Contribute in the development of financial models and reports to ensure budget accountability;
Participate in the development of data warehouse standard reports; and
Manage Health Services staffing organization by working closely with staff across the agency to maintain accuracy.
QUALIFICATIONS: Required:
Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university whose accreditation is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
Ability to conduct analysis of large data sets using Excel, developing or modifying complex formulas and creating PivotTables and charts.
Ability to analyze and interpret data; write clearly and concisely; prepare professional reports and work on a variety of tasks with frequent interruptions.
Ability to work and communicate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve questions/concerns/problems effectively and efficiently.
A minimum of one (1) year experience in a professional or educational environment conducting research and/or analyzing policies, laws, rules, or regulations.
The following proficiencies in Microsoft Office Suite:

MS PowerPoint: Intermediate MS Outlook: Intermediate Preferred/Desired:
Bachelor’s degree in business or public administration or a relevant field from an accredited college or university whose accreditation is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
Working knowledge and understanding of the agency, in particular the Health Services Division, medical terminology, and provider specialties.
Recent work experience performing complex financial and statistical analysis and analysis of medical, pharmaceutical, and/or mental health related data.
