Fulltime – Permanent Olympia, WA
The Health Care Authority (HCA) is Washington’s largest health care purchaser, responsible for providing comprehensive health coverage to more than 2 million residents through the Public Employees Benefits and Medicaid programs. The agency provides health purchasing leadership, benefitting both public and private sectors with a focus on moving the health delivery system away from volume toward higher value and better outcomes.
The Olympia office is located in downtown Olympia, within walking distance of shops, restaurants, bus lines, and less than one (1) mile from the freeway.
Position Objective:
The Office of Imaging and Claims Services (OICS) is looking for a skilled candidate to handle all elements associated with the electronic management of customer and provider documents for HCA. The incumbent will perform a full range of duties associated with OICS and utilizes a variety of Electronic Data Management imaging technology to batch, sort, and index multiple client and provider documents to meet state wide Document Management Service delivery standards. Independent judgment is required in this position and must be in compliance with statewide DMS standards and guidelines including safe guarding confidential information as per HIPAA and agency policies. In order to succeed in this position a viable candidate will possess the ability to maintain satisfactory production and accuracy levels at 95% or higher. Strong keying skills with speed, attention to detail and accuracy are required.
This position will perform the following work:
Receives, sorts, and prepares batches of documents for scanning and distribution. Scans batches to appropriate business areas and performs all document indexing for client and provider documents.
Prepare, sort, batch, and verify data submitted on paper medical claims for submission to the statewide payment system – ProviderOne.
Perform keying tasks in Intelligent Key Entry, and Direct Data Entry queues with the HTC imaging application and utilizing the ProviderOne payment system.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Have earned a high school diploma or equivalent, AND two years clerical experience.
Preferred/Desired Qualifications:
Possess computer skills to use a personal computer and imaging software applications.
Please Note the Following:
This position is covered by a union shop provision. Therefore, as a condition of employment, candidates who are appointed are required to become members of the WFSE, or arrange to pay to that union a fee equivalent to its regular monthly dues. The union shop provision shall be effective on the first day of the month following the employee's initial 30 days in this classification.
