EARLY LEARNING HOME VISITOR: The Home Visitor will provide in- home visitation/education services to prenatal families and children to age 5 with a focus on prenatal to age 3 children and families, promoting child development and parenting skills by providing information and resources to support parents, expectant women, grandparents/ legal guardian’s raising young children with goal setting, child development education and referral services to increase parental knowledge and improve parenting practices and early detection of development delays. Home Visitors will implement the Parents As Teachers and Positive Indian Parenting curriculum. Position is responsible for data collection and reporting. The Home Visitor reports to the SPIPA Healthy Families Project Coordinator and or Tribal Site Supervisor. Position will require flexible schedule may include weekends and evenings. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in Early Childhood Education, Social Work or related field with a minimum of one year experience providing services to Native families; or Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Social Work, or a related field with two years of experience working with Native families; or High School Diploma/GED and three years of experience working in Early Childhood Education/Development with Native families. Must have or successfully completed Parents As Teachers certification training within 60 days of hire. HEADSTART ASSISTANT COOK: (Part time) Assists the Head Cook in planning, preparing, and serving meals for the childcare program. Assists with clean-up, purchasing, and other related duties. Education/Experience: High School diploma or GED. Must have basic knowledge of nutrition, food preparation, and sanitation. Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor: (part-Time) The Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) Counselor is responsible for providing employment-related and youth transition services to Native Americans with disabilities. The VR Counselor develops training and employment opportunities for clients and provides support services to assure employment retention and successful transition for youth. Experience/Education: Associates degree or certification in a related field with two years directly related experience preferred. High School diploma or GED with four years directly related experience required. Prefer experience with American Indian/ Alaska Native communities.
WATER QUALITY LAB TECHNICIAN: The Water Quality Lab Technician performs a variety of duties focused on the management and protection of the water resources in the Chehalis Tribe’s Usual and Accustomed areas. This position is critical with the organizational chart for the Environmental Program, in the tribe’s Department of Natural Resources. The Technician will manage the Chehalis Tribal Water Quality Laboratory (an EPA certified laboratory) and process all of the tribe’s water quality samples. The Technician will conduct periodic inventory of equipment and laboratory supplies, such as solutions and reagents and will be responsible for ordering new supplies. The Technician will upload data into the tribal database and the EPA STORET Database. Further, the Technician will also conduct preliminary data analysis and will assist the Environmental Programs Manager with generating quarterly and yearly technical reports, to meet grant requirements. The Technician will also design and develop quality assurance project plans for various ambient monitoring studies and laboratory protocols. Strong oral and written communication are required for this position. EDUACATION/EXPERIEINCE: Four Year degree from an accredited school. Degree must be in environmental sciences, biology, microbiology, chemistry or other closely related field. Minimum of 6 months working in a certified lab setting. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SURVIVOR ADVOCATE: Provide advocacy-based services for victims/survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.*EDUCATION/EXERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in related field and two years directly related experience preferred. Associates degree in related field with four years directly related experience required. Prefer experience with American Indian/Alaska Native communities. DIABETIC OUTREACH-LPN; (Part-time) To work on special projects as the Special Diabetes Program for the Indians and Diabetes Programs and ensure appropriate screenings are conducted. The nurse will provide direct patient care services in an outpatient setting while working with specialized populations such diabetic patients to ensure quality care standards are met. To work as part of a Primary Care Provider Team. Education/Experience: Must have a current Licensed Practical Nurse License in the state of Washington. Must have experience working in a family practice setting. Prefer experience working in a tribal community. CLINICAL REGISTERED NURSE: To provide direct patient care services in an outpatient clinical setting and in other settings as assigned. To assure that effective nursing services are provided and that quality standards are met. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Must have current Registered Nurse license in the state of Washington. Must have experience working in a family practice setting. Prefer experience working in a tribal community. Prefer experience working in a corrections environment and/or providing home nursing services. Youth Coordinator/Director’s Assistant: Assists in planning & implementing youth program activities & events. Provides supervision of, assistance to, & transportation for youth during program activities. Also, works collaboratively with staff to provide a safe environment for youth and volunteers during all activities provided by the Chehalis Tribal Youth Center. Education/Experience: Requires High School diploma or General Education Degree. Experience working with youth, supervising and budgeting. This is a regular, full-time position responsible for graphic design, desktop publishing, delivery of multimedia services, audio visual systems support, and support for the City of Auburn and its customers to include, but not limited to, assisting in video production services; coordinating outsourced print services, in-house print jobs, and the distribution of various materials produced by multimedia services; and leveraging technical and organizational skills to bridge the gap between multimedia services and our customer.
PRIMARY DUTIES *Primary contact for graphic design and publication layout for all printed and digital
material content based on knowledge of layout principles, City standards, and esthetic design concepts
*Develops graphics, logos, and illustrations for all multimedia mediums
*Assists with completing work requests for multimedia services and meets appropriate deadlines
*Assists with print shop services including, but not limited to, mail processing, copier and bindery service, and printing
*Advises customers of the most efficient methods of reproduction for particular work requests and makes recommendations for production improvements and priorities
*May assist in instructing, documenting, and teaching users how to properly operate and use audio visual equipment during council meetings, presentations, training events; and assists staff on offsite video and photo shoots
*Assists with video and production projects including, but not limited to, council meetings, City/City-sponsored event presentations, and various assigned camera and video production duties
*Assists with mailroom coverage, delivery, and associated tasks as necessary
*Expert user of Adobe Create Suites programs; specifically the latest versions of InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat and Illustrator. Other programs desired but not necessary.
*Advanced knowledge of printing specifications, postal regulations concerning printed materials, periodical specifications, and best practices for output of materials based on medium (print, web, broadcast usage, etc.)
*Performs quality control and assurance on all multimedia products
*Operates all equipment in the print shop in a correct and safe manner
*Proofreads, edits, and formats written communications of others
*Creates correspondence, reports, forms, fliers, procedures, presentations, brochures, and marketing materials
*Communicates effectively both orally and in writing; uses correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation
*Regular, reliable, and punctual attendance
*Some early evening, night, and/or weekend work may be required
*Works effectively under pressure and with frequent interruptions
*Completes work and projects in a thorough and timely manner
*Shows initiative in performing job functions
*Understands and follows directions from the supervisor, posted work rules, and procedures
*Performs related work as required
MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS
Associate of Arts (AA) degree from an accredited design or trade school and three (3) years of work-related experience that demonstrate the above knowledge, skills, and abilities; OR any combination of relevant education and experience which would demonstrate the individual’s knowledge, skills, and ability to successfully perform the essential elements and responsibilities listed above.
Possesses and maintains a valid state driver's license throughout tenure of employment, without impending risk of loss at time of appointment.

The employee normally works indoors in a clean, climate-controlled workspace. The employee may occasionally work outdoors; sometimes in inclement conditions. The employee is required to sit, talk, and hear; frequently required to use hands to finger, feel, or handle writing utensils, computers, and office supplies which require repetitive arm, wrist, and hand movement. The employee is occasionally required to stand and reach with arms and hands, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, or crawl. Specific vision abilities include close, distant, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The position requires mental acuity to ensure thorough mental analysis of situations in a fast-paced environment.
